We are in America!

Posted by Riley On May - 29 - 2009

Well, as most of you know we are in Missouri and have been for a week now.  We have been busy with visits and recovering from jet lag that we have neglected the blog.  Things have gotten to some sort of order, I think anyway.  We have been enjoying family, friends and of course West Point.  I have been working at the church a little bit on PC’s and will also be doing some updating on the church website.  Tara is going to get another eBay auction extravaganza going like she did before we left.  Peoples junk and unwanted items can turn out to be a good church fund raiser.  So as you can see we pretty much have jumped back in the saddle here at West Point.  Which we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Next week we are going to be attending Missouri Youth Camp at an awesome camp ground in Cherokee Pass.  We are going to be staying in a cabin with Pastor Chuck, Misty and the kids.  We are looking forward to it and know we are going to have a lot of fun.  Then the first of July Peyton will be heading back to Pinecrest for Junior Youth Camp.  She has decided that she is going to be able to stay away from Mom and Dad for an entire week.  I know she can and I am expecting her to have a great time.  I also am expecting her to experience God in a way she never has before.

We are staying at my sisters house and basically have taken over the entire upstairs.  To be honest most of the down stairs too.  So Aunt Leisha is going to have an exciting summer as well.  She can’t complain to much I have already mowed her lawn once since being here, and she knows that was something because lawn mowing isn’t one of my faviorte things to do.

We are going to keep you posted of our summer in America as offten as we can.  We want to thank all of you who have supported us with your prayers our first eight months, and ask that you don’t stop.  We also thank any and all of you who also support us financially.  May God bless all of you!

On our way home!!

Today we had to do at least a hundred last minute things, or so it seemed.   You always have so many last minute things to do right before you go any where.  We got it all accomplished and came home and finished packing.  We are officially ready to go early in the morning.  We have to be up by 5:00 and leave by 6:00.  It will be worth it though.  We are so ready to see our family and friends.  We have missed everyone so much.  It will be great to be at our home church this weekend.

We had a awesome service at Dublin Sunday.  The Sunday School children have been practicing a song using sign lanuage and we surprised the parents and did it for them.  The kids were a little nervous, but did a great job.  I was so proud of them.  After the service they had a going away party for us.  We had a delicious meal and they also gave us a love offering.  What great saint we have.  We have fallen in love with them and will miss them this summer.

Happy 15th Aniversary to my husband!

Today is Riley and my 15th anniversary. Wow, where has the time gone? I wanted to dedicate this blog to my husband, my best friend. When you first fall in love and take your marriage vows you have no clue what the future will hold. When I said  for richer or poorer, through sickness and health. I was really only thinking about the good times ahead. How could I have known everything we would go through? Riley and I, like most couples, have been through a lot in these 15 years. We had no idea that he would be diagnosed with MS.  We had no idea that we would have three children and be living in a foreign country. Through it all however, he has been my strength when I was weak, my shoulder to cry on, my venting wall, my very best friend. I am more in love with him than when we first started this journey. I admire his walk with God.  He is a great example of what a christian husband and father should be.

I love you babe with all my heart. I would choose you again. You are the best.

Love ya lots and lots,
Tara
